Rabbi Richard Camras
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the staff, I want to welcome you to Shomrei Torah Synagogue's website. STS, is a vibrant Conservative Congregation located in the West San Fernando Valley. You will find that we are a warm and caring community whose mission is to teach, challenge, and support its members to grow Jewishly. We offer an array of spiritual, educational, charitable, and social opportunities in which to participate. As a Conservative synagogue, we are rooted in the wisdom of Torah as it guides us to face the challenges of today's world. We invite you to join us on this journey of spiritual growth, learning, community, and enrichment.
Barry Wolfe, President
Barry L Wolfe became President of Shomrei Torah Synagogue on July 1, 2008. For the past 25 years,he has been an active member and leader in both the formal and informal structure of our Synagogue. Additionally, he continues to provide support to a number of organizations whose goals are to make our community, nation and Israel a better place.
Though Barry retired from the business world in early 2008, where he was a successful entrepreneur for over 30 years, some have said that he is currently serving his "sabbatical year...or two" at STS. His vision and goals remain fixed on making a difference as a Jew by expanding the knowledge and practice of Judaism in our homes, our Synagogue and in our surroundings.
Barry and his wife Mireille have four children and five grandchildren. You will find them regularly at Shomrei Torah Synagogue on Shabbat, Holydays and programs. Mireille is the one with the hat.

Shalom and welcome to Shomrei Torah Synagogue! STS is a vibrant and welcoming community. I look forward to having the opportunity to introduce you to our schools, religious happenings, educational programs, social events and much more. We work hard at STS to try to meet the varying needs of all of our members: from the youngest babies in our "Parent and Me" programs to our wisest seniors in our "Hazak" program. Don't be shy!
